more from the blog

Because I don't have anything profound to say.

Drinking: a honey cinnamon latte with almond milk. The Monkey Nest is quickly becoming my go-to coffee shop in Austin.

Loving: the beautiful girl's haircut in the photo above. I'm thinking my bangs could use a trim...

Reading: A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I probably should have waited until Halloween to dive into this semi-spooky story, but I couldn't resist a good fantasy novel now that summer's in full swing (and I can read all of the fluff I want). Plus, it's set in my favorite place in the world. Sold.

I'm also reading Rediscover Catholicism by Matthew Kelly. Pretty good stuff so far.

Stressing over: Not much, actually. Well, maybe what I'm going to do with my life after I graduate in 6 months. There are so many things to consider between now and then! December seems like a lifetime from now, but I know that time will speed up once the fall semester begins.

Thankful for: good music to keep me sane while I'm working.

Listening to: "Capture" by Summer Ames.

Learning: to trust.

And a little bonus fun fact: My dream job right now would be to work for Verily Magazine. I'm sort of obsessed with it. (If you haven't picked up a June/July issue, don't wait another second.) Their mission statement alone is enough to make any woman fall in love.

Also, something I'm excited about: my lovely graphic designer friend is working on a new look for S&S! I can't wait to change it up a bit. (The ballerina pink is definitely wearing on me.) Maybe a fresh design will motivate me to post more often...

  1. I'm now officially hooked/in love/addicted to Verily magazine. Thank you for the recommendation!
