Lucky number thirteen.

10.26.2012
The time has arrived, my friends:  the week of All Hollows' Eve.  Pumpkins are scattered on the neighbor's front porch, candy corn is taking over the aisles at CVS, and you're just now scrounging around for a last-minute costume.  I wish I could say that I have mine all ready and waiting for the big night (like last year), but I'm not sure I'll even be wearing a costume this year.  Red and I were planning on dressing up and hitting one of the nicer neighborhoods around Austin for some trick-or-treatin'—don't laugh, you know it's what the cool kids do—until I realized that Halloween is on a Wednesday.  And what do I have on Wednesdays?  My late class.  Sigh.  But I've already done enough complaining on this blog to last a lifetime, so...  I'll just cut to the chase.  In my almost nonexistent free time, I've scoured the internet looking for the cutest, coolest, and most creative Halloween costumes out there, and I am placing my findings here to serve as inspiration for all of you who love this holiday as much as I do!  Excited yet?

(Keep in mind that my small collection of winning photos consists of a mixture of age groups, including wee little babes.  Because even if the costumes themselves aren't practical for college students, they're still awesomely adorable, and should therefore still count.)

[Pokémon's Misty.  Brings back childhood memories.]
[Carl from Up.  Come on, Pixar fans...  HOW CUTE IS THIS?]
[Rosie the Riveter.  Yeah, girl power!]
[For all of you guys out there (young and old), Forrest Gump would be awesome.  Because life really is like a box of chocolates.]
[Wednesday Addams, one of my personal favorites.]
[Lady skeleton.  Sexy and scary.  Win.]
[Real life comic book character.  One of the most creative costumes I've seen yet.]
[Mary Poppins & Bert.  Adorable for couples.]
[The Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus.  They are, after all, the world's most beloved witches.]
[Marty McFly from Back to the Future.  Or, my first onscreen crush.]
[Emily, Tim Burton's Corpse Bride.  Looking lovely in blue.]
[Max from Where the Wild Things Are.  Sha baby!]
[Johnny & June Cash.  Move out of the way, Joaquin & Reese!]

Well, that's all I've got for you this year!  Now it's your turn...  Who would you love to dress up as?
