A thank you letter.

Write a thank you letter.
(Perfect for the occasion, don't you think?)

Dear Plymouth Pilgrims,

Words cannot express how grateful I am for the contribution that you made to this beloved country.  Your three-day feast of 1621 was the first Thanksgiving celebration*, a most sacred tradition that has been passed down through the ages.  If it was not for the hospitality that you so generously bestowed upon your faithful Native American friends during that beautiful autumn, Turkey Day might have never been born.  Can you imagine what life would be like for your fellow countrymen (and women) if such a holiday did not exist?  Without the familiar gathering of crazy relatives, all-you-can-eat comfort food, and 3am shopping adventures on Black Friday, November would be a very sad month indeed.  So thank you, dear Pilgrims (and President Lincoln), for enhancing the lives of so many holiday-obsessed Americans (myself included).

Sincerely,
Emily

*Okay, the first Thanksgiving may have been something a little different than what I've described... But I was never that big into history anyway.
